You may also find that the beginning or end of the newsletter contains sales pitches for books or other writing help. Overall, these free newsletters are a great way to take advantage of free online learning.

If you are a freelancer looking for a way to make yourself more marketable, enroll in a creative writing workshop where you earn a creative writing certificate upon conclusion. Any extra writing credentials you can put on a resume make you more marketable by showing that you continually pursue writing education. You can find online writing education programs for freelancers by searching online writing program directories.

Community discussion boards are a great way for freelancers to take advantage of free online learning. You can post some samples of your writing and have the other board members critique your writing and make suggestions. This is a great way to understand where your writing is lacking and improving.
